1 C Water |
1 C Sugar |
1⁄4 tsp cumin |
1 tsp lime juice |
1 tsp dried cilantro |
12 oz pkg fresh or frozen cranberries |
1 green onion - white and green parts chopped |
2 Tbsp finely chopped jalapeno peppers or to taste |
Combine water and sugar in medium pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add berries, return to a boil. Gently boil berries for 10 minutes without stirring. Pour into medium size glass mixing bowl. Gently stir in remaining ingredients. Place a piece of plastic wrap directly on salsa. Cool at room temperature then put in fridge. Best served at room temperature.

Note from Rick: I use fresh cranberries and also 2 tsp fresh cilantro chopped fine.
