Tex-Mex Cranberry Salsa

Ingredients
1 C Water 1 C Sugar
14 tsp cumin 1 tsp lime juice
1 tsp dried cilantro 12 oz pkg fresh or frozen cranberries
1 green onion - white and green parts chopped 2 Tbsp finely chopped jalapeno peppers or to taste

Directions

Combine water and sugar in medium pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add berries, return to a boil. Gently boil berries for 10 minutes without stirring. Pour into medium size glass mixing bowl. Gently stir in remaining ingredients. Place a piece of plastic wrap directly on salsa. Cool at room temperature then put in fridge. Best served at room temperature. Recipe gotten from Raging Bull website. Note from Rick: I use fresh cranberries and also 2 tsp fresh cilantro chopped fine.
