Pain Perdou 'Lost Bread or French Toast'

Prep Time Required: No time specified.
Cooking Time Required: No time specified.

Ingredients
3 Eggs 2 Cup Milk
34 Cup Sugar 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon 12 Cup Evaporated milk

Directions

Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a 6x9x2 (or similar size) casserole dish. Add other ingredients and mix with hand mixer on low speed until well blended. Soak bread one slice at a time in mixture until it absorbs a lot but not falling apart. Using your hands to soak the bread is the best way. Cook in skillet or griddle over medium low heat. Its easiest to bring the skillet to the bread than bringing the dripping bread to the skillet! Cook for about 30-45 seconds on each side to brown outside. Toast dows not need to be hard cooked all the way through. Every once in a while stir the milk mixture to keep the cinnamon from settleing. Serve hot with butter and syrup or just plain if you're watching calories.

Makes enough mixture to soak approx. 20 slices.
