3 cans Pork & beans |
1 cup Barbeque sauce |
1 cup Onions, chopped |
1⁄2 cup Bell pepper, chopped |
1⁄2 lb Bacon cut into ?" pieces |
1⁄2 cup Dark brown sugar, packed |
2 tbl Cane syrup or dark corn syrup |

In a large dutch oven brown the bacon and then pour off all but about 3 tbls of the grease. Add onions and cook until clear stirring often over medium-high heat. Add remaining ingredients and cook over low heat for 30 minutes stirring often. (We like to use Cattleman's brand barbeque sauce but you can use whatever you like best.)
